Annual Dinner

14th Annual Cherishing Children Dinner & Awards Presentation

Thursday, September 6th, 2018 - John Q. Hammons Convention Center

Join us as we gather as a community to hear an empowering message from Elizabeth Smart - former child abuse victim, child safety activist and ABC News contributor as she shares her story to raise awareness about the issue. Dinner tickets and sponsorships can be purchased HERE.

Elizabeth Smart was abducted on June 5, 2002, and her captors controlled her by threatening to kill her and her family if she tried to escape. Police were safely able to return Smart back to her family on March 12, 2003, after being held prisoner for nine months. Through Smart's work as an advocate for change, her abduction and recovery has motivated and continues to motivate parents, law enforcement authorities and leaders worldwide to focus on children’s safety.
